October 2, 1869 - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on Porbandar, India.
1876 – Gandhi was a seven year old boy at this age itself he became aware of the faults in the Indian caste system.
1883 – At the age of 13 Gandhi marries Kasturbai Makanji
1888 - Gandhi become a Law Student
1891 – Successfully completed the bar exam and returned to India to practice law.
1893 – To work as a lawyer he went to Durban, South Africa
1894 - Gandhi holds a campaign to uphold the South African Indians right to vote.
1896 – Gandhi was beaten by the white South Africans as a result he began his fits Satyagraha.
1909 – Wrote his first book Hind Swaraj.
1920 – Became the president of all India home rule league.
1925-1928 – Travelled all over India giving speeches on social reforms. Also wrote
his autobiography The Story of My Experiments with Truth.
1930 - Dandi March
1931 – Time magazine named Gandhi as "Man of the Year"
1932 - Gandhi fasted for the Untouchables to protect their rights
1933-1939 – Gandhi travelled again all over India giving speeches for the welfare of the people and for speaking about the important issues in the country.
