Tricolor Flag
The tricolor flag is the National Flag of India. The flag has deep saffron color at the top, white color in the middle and dark green color at the bottom. All the three colors are in equal proportions.
The ration of the flag is two is to three. In the center of the white color there is a navy blue color wheel which indicated the Dharma Chakra (the wheel of law in sarnath lion capital).
The diameter of the chakra is approximately the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes.
Each color in the symbol stands for a special attitude and moral value.
The saffron color indicated the courage, sacrifice and the spirit of renunciation.
The green color stands for purity and truth.
The green color stands for faith and fertility.
The flag is a symbol of freedom.
Here is a famous saying about the Indian National Flag by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
"A flag is a necessity for all nations. Millions have died for it. It is no doubt a kind of idolatry which would be a sin to destroy. For, a flag represents an Ideal The unfurling of the Union Jack evokes in the English breast sentiments whose strength it is difficult to measure. The Stars and Stripes mean a world to the Americans. The Star and the Crescent will call forth the best bravery in Islam."
"It will be necessary for us Indians Muslims, Christians Jews, Parsis, and all others to whom India is their home-to recognize a common flag to live and to die for."

Decline in male birth
Research done on the decline of male birth decline show that the major cause for this problem is the air pollution. The birth of male babies compared to female babies is very less in number and they are largely felt in US and Japan.
The study also says that the birth of male babies may be very less compared to the female’s ones in the future. The survey taken between the years 1999 and 2003 there was twice as many girls as boy babies.
The average ratio that was observed is that for 105 boys there were 100 girl babies in the world. Though more male babies are born but at the age of 36 women outstands the men. This is due to various like diabetes, heart problems etc.

Nano-nose to help identify illnesses
Nano nose is used in US to smell the scent of the ailments in fluids of the body. The researches use the nano particles with different gold coatings to make the difference between proteins to find out the illness.
According to Vince Rotello, human nose has a sequence of receptors, which act in response differently to unlike compounds.
Groups with his contemporaries and scientists, Vince Rotello used the same nose principle to sense proteins.
The nano nose employs a scheme of six receptors, each containing a solution of gold nano particles not more than 2 nanometers. Nitrogen atoms are used to form the organic molecules which coat the nano particles.
At the time of the experiment the scientist with 56 proteins and demonstrated that receptors signal could be used to differentiate among the proteins. The experiment was found to be successful for 96 to 100 cases.
After making series of test with the blood of healthy and sick animals the researches were able to find the difference in the serum. So they stopped the steps here and want to make the statistics stable till they have collected.

Learning Strategies for Test Anxiety
Test anxiety refers to a complex of physiological and emotional responses to tension or stress resulting from apprehension for upcoming exams. This state of distress and uneasiness is often marked by muscle tension, headaches, stomach aches, sleepiness or sleeplessness, excessive sweating, acne breakouts, fever blisters, shakiness, depression, irritability, anger, panic, lack of confidence, helplessness, and memory loss.
The effects of test anxiety vary widely in nature and severity from one student to another. Some students are mildly affected by anxiety, and may only experience one or two of the symptoms. Others, however, may experience symptoms of anxiety so severe that they are greatly incapacitated.
Many researchers suggest that a little worry is good for students because it keeps them alert and task-oriented. Excessive worry, on the other hand, can be very deleterious and debilitating for students as it leads to mental blocks and the other problems listed above.

Mahatma Gandhi famous quotes
Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.
A 'No' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble.
A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.
A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.
A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.
In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.
Increase of material comforts, it may be generally laid down, does not in any way whatsoever conduce to moral growth.
Infinite striving to be the best is man's duty; it is its own reward. Everything else is in God's hands.
We win justice quickest by rendering justice to the other party.
Where love is, there God is also.
Where there is love there is life.

Leader Vs Manager
Managers are people who do things right and leaders are people who do the right thing. The difference may be summarized as activities of vision and judgment — effectiveness —versus activities of mastering routines — efficiency.
The floowing points below indicates key words that further make the distinction between the two functions:
1. The manager administers; the leader innovates.
2. The manager is a copy; the leader is an original.
3. The manager maintains; the leader develops.
4. The manager accepts reality; the leader investigates it.
5. The manager focuses on systems and structure; the leader focuses on people.
6. The manager relies on control; the leader inspires trust.
7. The manager has a short-range view; the leader has a long-range perspective.
8. The manager asks how and when; the leader asks what and why.
9. The manager has his or her eye always on the bottom line; the leader has his or her eye on the horizon.
10. The manager imitates; the leader originates.
11. The manager accepts the status quo; the leader challenges it.
12. The manager is the classic good soldier; the leader is his or her own person.
13. The manager does things right; the leader does the right thing.
The most dramatic differences between leaders and managers are found at the extremes: poor leaders are despots, while poor managers are bureaucrats in the worst sense of the word. Whilst leadership is a human process and management is a process of resource allocation, both have their place and managers must also perform as leaders. All first-class managers turn out to have quite a lot of leadership ability.

Discovery of Mars
Mars is much similar to Venus. We are able to spot the mars easily because of its brightness. This is the main reason that the man who discovered mars is unknown. But the fact that we all know is that it was named after the roman god because of its reddish color that reminded the peoples blood.
Christina Huygens in 1659 discovered a strange feature on the surface of the red planet. It was presently called syrits major. Early from the beginning we are scared of Martians. But in 1802 one scientist was so converted that there was life on mars that he wanted to draw figures in the snow to signal the Martians.
In 1877 discoveries such as several lines crossing each other and water canals was done by the astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli.
Mariner 9 visited mars 1971 and sent back the images of the volcanoes and canyons. The satellite discovered that Olympus Mons the most famous volcano that is not on the earth. The discovery says that the Olympus volcano could cover the state of Missouri and would reach 15 miles above the surface. It also found out the evidence for the water bodies once flowed.
In 1975 Viking I and II spacecraft landed on the mars surface. The crafts analyzed the rocks and soil of the planet and send the information about the atmosphere and weather conditions. Even today the discovery of mars is still going on.

Cleanliness means purity
All the people have different opinion about cleanliness. For example when a boy has been asked to wash his hands and face, he may keep his hand in the running water for sometime and just wet his face but that is not the thing his mother wants. She wants him to wash his hands with lot of soap and water.
So maintaining high standard of cleanliness is very important in all the places. If cleanliness in a place is not up to the level a lot of problem is faced by the people living in that place. All these people suffer from many healths related problems. Leaving the clothes on the floor, improper washing of the clothes, and infrequent airing of the clothes could cause dead skin cells, germs sticking on the cloth to get into the body causing infection. The sweat thrown out of the body is absorbed by the clothes so improper washing will cause the skin to absorb those dirt’s again into the body and is again pumped into the internal organs. This act can lead to severe fever and even harmful diseases.
Besides clothing one should keep his hands always clean since he uses it for many purposes especially eating. And it is a fact that hands are the direst part of the body. So wash your hands before and after the meals with soap and every time you use the bathrooms.
Keeping the room clean is the biggest help you do to your body. If the room you are staying is full of dirt and dust the first thing you get affected is the problem of allergy. Then the dirt’s invite pest into your room as their friend to give a lot of problems as pests can pass all the germs and virus they have into you easily. So room cleanliness is the best one to get rid of many diseases.
So the most awarded thing is the cleanliness. It is catholic principles of sound living. The proverb “Cleanliness is next to godliness” implies the importance of cleanliness.

Anger
When people get irritated they are so tensed. This emotional state is known as Anger. Anger can range from minor irritation to intense range. Anger is the main cause for heart attack and high blood pressure. Anger is the main feeling behavior that a person gets physiologically when he has to make a conscious choice to take a decision to stop another outside force. Anger has many side effects both physically and mentally.
Body expression, facial expression, act of regression and the physiological responses helps to detect weather the person is in anger or not. This behavioral pattern is used to warn the attacker to stop their irritating actions.
As per the ancient psychologist study an angry person can be mistaken because the anger causes them to loss their self-monitoring ability. But today psychologist says that anger is a primary, natural, and established emotion knowledgeable by all the humans. This emotional state has some functional value for the human survival. However uncontrolled anger may have a negative effect on the human health.
You cannot avoid the persons and things that enrage neither you nor you cannot change them so the only way is to control yourself to prevent you from the emotional feelings and the physiological excitement that are caused due to anger.

Morality – today
In schools and colleges the youth are taught about the ethics, morals, what is right and wrong depending on the situation? Teachers and professors use the goal of clarification values to represent the valid moral and ethical values. By following these many people became the highest leaders in the world today.
In today’s world morality in essential in all walks of life. Young people impart the ethical values which provide the long lasting benefits from the education they receive. But today’s education produce mixed results.
Some differences among the universal population by youngsters are as follows:
- Teenagers use 59% more drugs than their parents.
- Student who relates themselves to the school activities uses more drugs than the other students.
- Students who do not engage in any religious activities use alcohol 2.4 times.
- Students receiving poor grades use 4 times higher than the students receiving good grades.
So it becomes an objective to understand the right and wrong among the things. Principles of ten commands and right and wrong changing depend on the situation and desired outcome. This is the way of life of the modern world today.

Non conventional energy sources
From the ancient period man has been using solar energy in daily life for various activities. Plants produce energy through photosynthesis by using sunlight. Solar energy stored in plants is available after millions of years as fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Therefore these are called non renewable energy resources.
The sun is 93 million km away and yet this ball of hot gases is the primary source of all energy on the earth. Solar energy can be used for cooking food, heating water, and generating electricity. It is hoped that the energy source of the future will be solar energy. Today solar energy is particularly used in equatorial and tropical regions which receive more solar radiation. In general we use solar energy in two systems.
Solar photo voltaic power system:
Here solar radiation is transformed into electricity through the solar cells made up of silicon. We can produce required electricity by fixing silicon cells on roof top of the houses and industries.
Solar thermal energy system:
By using solar thermal collectors the heat received from the sun can be converted into thermal energy. By concentrating solar radiation various thermal devices like solar coolers, water heaters, solar dryers and solar refrigerators etc., can be operated.
Merits:
- It is a renewable resource
- It is available throughout the world particularly in equatorial and tropical regions where there is no scarcity for solar radiation.
- There is no environmental pollution
- Electricity produced by solar energy can be stored in batteries and used when it is needed.
- Sunlight and its heat are available freely without any expense.

Questions are the key
“Life is a game. The gain and loss of life depends on the luck of each person.” This thought prevails in all human minds. Lives profit and loss are not same as the election result, it is not so confusing. It is like the exam result which is steady.
Today’s youngster doesn’t search a job that suits them. Whatever job might by they tend to do them. This kind of people find difficult to gain victory in their life. This is an important thing in life.
One must fix his/her goal and then work towards it. This will bring success in his/her life. When one does not have a fixed goal, he/she find difficult to raise in his/her life.
One must think, what is his current position? What would be the next? What are the steps and things need for it? When they get a clear idea of it, the person has a bright future in his life and he will gain victory throughout his life.
John F Kennedy the famous American president has the habit of visiting his pupils in the white house. One day among the crowds stood a bright student. Kennedy just asked the boy “what is your future goal?” The boy said I want to be in your position when I grow up. Kennedy congratulated the boy and went away.
The boy who said like that became the president of America in the future. He was none other than Bill Clinton. Since he fixed his goal and worked towards it he was able to achieve his goal.
So think about you, your family situation and the ways you can build your future. When the answer for these small question start coming up in your mind, it means that your are going ahead in your bright future. Remember that small locks are the way to the big door. So tiny matters become a key stone to huge walls. Ask yourself a lot of questions. Those questions might be the key of success to your huge walls. If you remember this you will shine in your future.

Child labor
A very thorny development issue and human society affecting matter is the child labor. This is world wide problem. Children fundamental education and their young life happiness are not enjoyed by the pupil who is promoted to be a labor. In today’s scenario as the statistic given by the ILO (International Labor Organization) about 73 million children between the ages of 10 to 14 are employed in the work activities all over the world.
According to a survey the child labor is uncontrolled in Asia. About 44.6 million children were employed. Next comes Africa with 23.6 million and Latin America with 5.1 million.
In spite of taking all the necessary steps and introducing more child labor laws this matter prevails and persists in the world fact.
Child labor is a reality in spite of all the steps taken by the legal machinery to eliminate it. It prevails and persists as a world phenomenon in spite of child labor laws. The existing laws related to child labor are deliberately despoiled by the beneficiaries present all over the world. Government of India implemented the child labor law in 1986 stating that child labor is illegal and the minimum age for working should be fourteen years.
There were many loop holes in this law because it did not make the child labor completely illegal and does not meet the guidelines set by ILO, which says that the minimum working age is fifteen years. So without proper enforcement of all police and laws concerning child labor all over the world this act cannot be abolished.

How to stay fit as you age?
As a myth when diet and exercise are laid to rest it seems that another one is ready to take the place. A common misconception is that as a person age, he gains body fat.
But the reality is that the metabolism slow as much as five per cent per decade after age 40, this is because of insufficient exercise, which leads to loss of bone and muscles.
A few amounts of calories will be needed if a man has less bone and muscle tissues. So we rarely adjust calories downwards to compensate for this loss.
Excess abdominal fat predisposes people to higher incidences of type 2 diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases.
The best way to accelerate body metabolism is weight training. Resistance training on a regular basis will help to stimulate bone and muscle growth. This can be done two to three times a week at a minimum.
Remember to go in for exercise that involves all the major muscle groups of the body. The benefits are great: increased muscular strength lessens risk of injuries, makes it easier to go about your everyday task and helps maintain a healthy weight.

Conservation of energy sources
Energy saved one day is the energy gained for another day, saving energy will reduce pollution and help our fossil fuels last longer. The following are some of the practical measures for individuals to consume less energy:
- Turn off radio and television when they are not in use.
- Turn off the light when you are not using them.
- Use solar powered calculator instead of battery powered calculator.
- Keep the refrigerator door closed without keeping it opened for a long time.
- Use energy efficient office equipments.
- Use solar cookers, lantern and water heater.

Lenin
List of statues of Lenin
Many cities in the Soviet Union had monuments of Vladimir Lenin. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, many statues of Vladimir Lenin were broken with no permission from their authors. This happened even earlier in the European post-Communist states and in the Baltic States. However, in many of the former Soviet Republics (namely Russia, Belarus and Ukraine) many remain, and some new ones have been erected.
In Ukraine Lenin monuments and other Soviet-era monuments are still being removed. But on the occasion of the 139th anniversary of Lenin two new Lenin monuments where erected in Luhansk Oblast.

Yucca Root
Yucca root has made a home growing in Florida since the late 1800s. Cassava is a bushy perennial that can grow as tall as 8 feet. The white interior of yucca is firmer than potatoes and has high starch content. Fresh yucca has thick, dark brown skin that resembles a tree's bark. Fresh yucca is available year round. Look for firm blemish free tubers. Store whole yucca as you would potatoes, in a cool, dark, dry place for up to one week. Peeled yucca covered with water and refrigerated or wrapped tightly and frozen for several months.
Yucca can easily be substituted for potatoes in soups and stews and it contains a high amount of vitamin C and carbohydrates. It is also a good source of dietary fiber and contains approximately 120 calories per 1 cup serving

The Universe in a year
Extremes of the World
Longest River
Africa’s Nile River is the world’s longest. It is 6,695 kilometers long. It flows through nine countries. The White Nile and the Blue Nile are its two main tributaries. The White Nile starts from Lake Victoria in Uganda, and flows through Sudan and Egypt. The Blue Nile starts in Lake Tana in Ethiopia and flows through Zaire, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi. The two tributaries of the Nile merge at Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.
Largest Desert
The Sahara is the largest desert on Earth, Located in North Africa and spread across 11 countries; it covers an area of 9 million square kilometers. In terms of area it is as large as the continent of Europe. In 1922, the temperature reached 57.8 degree centigrade makes it the highest recorded temperature on Earth. It might sound strange, but the peaks in the desert are snowcapped during winter.
Largest Island
Greenland, a self – governing province of Denmark is the largest island in the world, located between the North Atlantic and the Arctic Oceans, 85% of it is covered by ice. July is the only month in which the temperature goes above freezing point. The sun never sets in Greenland during the Arctic summer, since it is very close to the North Pole.
Highest Peak
Mount Everest is the highest mountain peak in the world. The Everest is just one of over 30 peaks in the Himalayas, Located on the border of Tibet and Nepal, it measures 29,035 ft in height above sea level. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay were the first to conquer Everest, on May 19, 1953. The Everest is also known as Sagarmatha in Nepali and Chomolungma in Tibetan. It is believed to grow anout 4 mm every year due to geological forces.
Coldest Place
Antarctica is the driest windiest and coldest place in Earth. It is the fifth largest continent and is the only land on our planet that is not owned by any country. It reached a record -89.2 degree centigrade making it thr coldest temperature measured on Earth. Strange through it may sound, however, Antarctica is the largest desert in the world. The average annual rainfall is as low as 20 millimeters.
Do you know the Tricks of Fish
Ever wondered how a stationary fish sometimes sinks to the bottom and then rises to the surfaces? The reason behind it can be attributed to two forces of Nature gravity and buoyancy. Gravity is the force that pulls objects to the ground while buoyancy pushes them up in water. Gravity depends on mass while buoyancy depends on volume. So, how does the fish remain at one place if it has to, without being affected by those forces?
The fish is endowed with an organ called the swim bladder. The swim bladder is like an empty balloon. When the fish breathes, the bladder is filled with oxygen. So, the fish expands in volume but its weight does not increase much. So, this increases its buoyancy. When the fish exhales, the bladder loses the oxygen and shrinks in volume. Thus, the decrease in volume increases the force of gravity on the fish.
When the fish has to stay at one place, it breathes in a sufficient amount of oxygen. This slight increase in volume has the same weight as that of the fish. The two opposite forces are cancelled, and thus the fish remains stationary.
